The challenge
Explain lead times shaped by industrial realities
Emeline Rousseau, Development and Industrialisation Engineer at NAC, manages product projects from launch through to production. These projects include many technical stages and fixed waiting periods that customers may not be familiar with.
The challenge is therefore more than meeting a deadline. The team needs to show the trials, approvals, purchasing and dependencies that determine the delivery date.
NAC needed a view detailed enough for internal management while remaining clear enough to explain the project journey and build customer trust.
The solution
Two uses brought together in one visual schedule
Bubble Plan first helps NAC organise the laboratory technicians’ daily schedule. Each bubble represents a task that can be moved by drag and drop, making it easy to balance workloads and see priorities.
The team also creates reverse schedules for customers. A typical project moves through three phases: design, including sourcing and raw-material preparation; prototyping, with trials and stability checks; and industrialisation, covering orders, approvals and production of the first industrial batch.
Milestones, checkboxes, task dependencies and company closure markers make constraints explicit. The schedule is reviewed every week and can be shared with the relevant teams.
