The challenge
Structure cross-functional projects between diverse departments
Jean Moulin University Lyon 3 brings together 4 faculties, 2 institutes, several locations, more than 600 lecturers and 700 administrative staff serving nearly 27,000 students. This human, academic and geographical diversity is a strength, but it also makes cross-functional projects harder to coordinate.
For a long time, each department relied on its own habits, tools and level of project maturity. Gantt charts were used occasionally, while communication relied on email and multiple documents without an overall view of progress or responsibilities.
The Digital Department therefore needed a shared workspace capable of bringing together people with different objectives and timelines around the same project view.

The Digital Department needed a tool that could unify methods without adding heavy processes. Bubble Plan provided visual scheduling, collaboration features and a shared project view.
